From the artist:
“I am most interested in telling stories through suggestion and atmosphere, rather than actually depicting an event or series of events. I like to leave the details open ended, so the viewer can fill in the gaps for themselves, and find something new each time they come back to the image. With this photograph of a deer blind in southeastern Ohio in mid-summer, I have numerous stories that fit this place, in this light; stories that feel right being set here. Some of them are mine, some belong to friends, and some I’ve made up. That is what keeps me coming back to this image, and what I hope other viewers find in it as well."
